Grade 3-4 8th Commandment – You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

What does this mean?

We should fear and love God that we do not tell lies about our neighbor, betray him, or give him a bad name, but defend him, speak well of him, and take his words and actions in the kindest possible way.

Week 20: David Anointed King; David and Goliath
Assign on February 26, 2017 & Recite on March 5, 2017

Grade 5-8 Psalm 124:8 – Our help is in the name of the Lord, Maker of heaven and earth.
Grade 5-8 Matthew 7:7 – Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Grade 5-8 Doxology of the Lord’s Prayer – For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

What does this mean?
We can be sure that these petitions are acceptable to our Father in heaven  and are heard by him, for he himself has commanded us so to pray and has promised to hear us. Therefore we say, “Amen,” “Yes, it shall be so.”

Sunday school sings April 16, 2017 – “I Know that My Redeemer Lives” #461 v 1,2,7,8

1 I know that my Redeemer lives;
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, He lives, who once was dead;
He lives, my ever-living Head.

2 He lives triumphant from the grave;
He lives eternally to save;
He lives all-glorious in the sky;
He lives exalted there on high.

7 He lives and grants me daily breath;
He lives, and I shall conquer death;
He lives my mansion to prepare;
He lives to bring me safely there.

8 He lives, all glory to His name!
He lives, my Jesus, still the same;
Oh, the sweet joy this sentence gives;
I know that my Redeemer lives!
