Doxology of the Lord’s Prayer – For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Grade 1-2 1 Corinthians 3:11 – For no one can lay any other foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Grade 3-4 1 Peter 2:9 – You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.
Grade 3-4 Doxology of the Lord’s Prayer – For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

What does this mean?
We can be sure that these petitions are acceptable to our Father in heaven and are heard by him, for he himself has commanded us so to pray and has promised to hear us. Therefore we say, “Amen,” “Yes, it shall be so.”

Week 18: Gideon; Ruth
Assign on February 12, 2017 & Recite on February 19, 2017

Grade 5-8 1 Peter 5:7 – Cast all your care on Him because He cares for you.
Grade 5-8 1 Timothy 6:12 – Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called.
Grade 5-8 3rd Article – I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

What does this mean?
I believe that I cannot by my own thinking or choosing believe in Jesus Christ, my Lord, or come to him.

But the Holy Spirit has called me by the gospel, enlightened me with his gifts, sanctified and kept me in the true faith. In the same way he calls, gathers, enlightens, and sanctifies the whole Christian Church on earth, and keeps it with Jesus Christ in the one true faith.

In this Christian Church he daily and fully forgives all sins to me and all believers.
On the Last Day he will raise me and all the dead, and he will give eternal life to me and all believers in Christ.
This is most certainly true.
